FAQ

How are Gifts decided? By Dice. All Winners & All Gifts are chosen by this method.

How can I improve the odds of me winning? You cannot. The die chooses all winners & all gifts.

How often do you do gifts? I depend on calls from my job, when a call comes in where I make $25 or higher in sales, I do a Gift or Project, this means that some days there won’t be any Gifts and other days there might be several.

What can I win? Literally anything from A to Z. I have sent out Juice, candles, chocolates, a pizza oven, cash, visa cards, stuffed animals. You name it and you can probably win it here.

So I can win a car? Well, Ok so maybe not “anything”. I cannot do cars, houses, mortgages, boats or travel excursions at this time but I would love to one day be able to do that.

I am not a Taker but a Giver! Great! Simply pay forward the item you have won to someone around you that I do not have access to! Problem solved.

What do you see long term for THE WISH LIST?    Continued expansion.   The Wish List started in 2009.    It was a way for me to help The Homeless community and since then has become about community outreach, helping random strangers on the street, gift giveaways on Facebook and just recently (Dec 2019) we added Meet & Greets, a chance for our members to meet one another in a fun setting. I’d like to one day own an old church or funeral home (well, a big building with lots of space) and open up a FREE thrift store to those in need, let friends with services come in and sell, let people take showers and spend the night when they need to, I have all kinds of ideas for where I would like to see The wish list go.

Do you take requests for help? YES!!!     For Groceries (But its first come, first serve on the list)   and Dog/Cat food and Baby food/supplies.   Feminine Products, I learned from Volunteering with TST that there are items that some women do not have access to.    This is where the Term "Wish List" comes from, what do you wish you had that you NEED?

Do you roll to see who gets what/when?   Only for Random Gifts, I would never add you to a list for a needed item and then roll to see when or if I sent that needed item out, That would be beyond cruel--when I have the money, I send what I can.

Are you rich/who helps you do this? I am not rich and I am a one man show. All Gifts/Projects come from my own pocket, mostly the sales I make on my Job.

The Gift you sent me sucked and someone last week won something beautiful? Well, The Wish List is about winning Gifts but also finding people around you to pay things forward to, therefore there are no bad gifts. If you win a toy train and are a grown woman, find a child around you that would love a new Toy!

The Gift you sent me showed up broken/damaged or it didn’t even arrive, will you replace it? If The Gift is broken/damaged, Take a Pic of this and send it to me, a replacement if available will be sent out right away! Lost items are trickier. I have in the past sent out Visa cards to members who claim they didn’t get it and come to find out it was activated and used and they just wanted another one--I will need concrete evidence that your Gift didn’t show up (confirmation from the company is a good start, hearing it from the delivery service is another) But in the case of a Gift card, If it’s been activated/spent, You are shit out of luck.

I won weeks ago, why has my gift not arrived? Amazon has slow delivery times sometimes, Etsy is even worse because some gifts are made to order, this could take some time and then they finally send them out, I will keep you in the loop though on delivery dates if you just send me a PM and ask me to check for you!   Also, Keep in mind that I do not PURCHASE the gifts for at least a couple of days after your win, to make sure that I have the correct address on file and that you know you won a gift and can be looking for it in the mail, also if you are BRAND NEW when you win, I won't be sending Gifts out till I know you are in the group for the right reasons.   (a question a few down covers this).      If none of this applies to you, Then all I can say is be Patient, I usually am told when a Gift has been lost and when its been delivered and where.    :)

Do you do Birthdays & Christmas? Every Nov and Dec is Christmas at The wish list !  those 2 months, You can win trees, toys, Jar candles, Christmas groceries and so much more, I do not do b-days because I do the wish list year round.

Why are Pics/Videos required? Other than Groceries and other helpful items.   Gifts are complete surprises until they show up at your door, so The Wish Listers will want to know that you have won something but like you don’t know what You won so they want to see a Pic/Video if it as well! Look at it like Christmas, open Your gifts and share in the delight and joy with others!

A friend of mine would love this but she lives in.... All are welcome anywhere in The USA and Canada.

Meet & Greets sound fun but... All Meet & Greets are covered by The Wish List if you are a member. So, If you want to come and bring 10 friends who might want to join us, They are most welcome but they must cover themselves--adding them to the wish list right before an event so that I will cover them won’t work. I wasn’t born yesterday!

How often are there Meet & Greets?    2-3 times a month.

Is communication required?    YES.   This is something that I have not been enforcing but will from now on.   When someone wins, It only takes a moment to say Congratulations to them.   When someone is up for a Prize, You can say "Good luck"  or "I hope you win"   These are short moments but so meaningful to people.   You do not have to communicate with ME to be in the Group but if you are just sitting there, waiting to win and can't muster a word until there is a Gift and then all of a sudden, There you are, bells and whistles, I might interpret you as a TAKER--and you will be removed.

Is The Wish List Vegan/Cruelty Free?   It is 99% vegan & cruelty free to the best of my personal knowledge. That being said, it is possible to win gifts that are NOT Vegan. I am still learning what is and what isn’t vegan or cruelty free--Sometimes the company claims to be such but then I find out later after the gift has already been sent that it wasn’t (Human error) I sent out Vegan groceries to a member a few days ago and the shopper replaced a few items with non vegan ones. Also, since the die chooses the gifts, It’s possible that The die could choose something that isn’t vegan but again if it’s on the list of vegan/cruelty free items and it’s not, that is the company’s fault for listing it as such but as I work to become 100% Vegan/Cruelty free, The Wish List will also become that.  It's a learning curve.

Do I have to be Vegan to be a member?    of course not.     For the record, Yankee candles are Vegan, You like those, Yes?   :D

I heard you wrote a book about this?    Yes.   It's called The Wish List, It's Yellow and can be found on Amazon.    (There is an older Purple book which is why I say, Get the Yellow one!)

Your page says you are a Satanist?    So this is a scam?     A scam?     The Satanic Temple which can be read about here: Answers to the most common questions about The Satanic Temple - The Satanic Temple says that we should show empathy and compassion to all creatures in accordance with reason, for me that means, treat me with honor and respect and I won't show my broom up your ass.    :)       I am also a Witch, was raised in The Craft and have been an active member of The Pagan community in one way or another since I was 9.     Satanism and Witchcraft work well for me because of my beliefs/practices which you are always welcome to ask me about rather than run away being all judgmental and all.

I am also drawn to Unity church/Center for spiritual Living which is a CHRISTIAN Path.    I have been studying NDES and OBEs and Reincarnation stories which are NOT Satanic but they would still fit into Witchcraft and yet I find myself drawn to affirmative prayer, meditation, positive thinking movement but in reality there is little to no evidence that any of it is anything more than a dying brain--our body/brain shoots off DMT and we hallucinate loved ones, God, angels and the like--also proof of that is why everyone has different experiences of "God".    Though, why does anyone see anything?     and how do people see themselves from above?     So much to ponder and question and so I consider myself a spiritual seeker--an explorer, someone who loves to experience and understand so pinning me down to one spot is very hard.

I also consider myself to be a very eclectic Unitarian Universalist.     so...see?   No scam.   Just a guy that loves to make people feel good and wants to make the world a better place.
